'Ancestral Home' is a collection of modern artefacts that draw on myths, history and rituals. Each piece can be seen as a totem and invites the viewer to stitch together their own narrative, drawing on collective memories and signifiers to generate meanings.

Ashwan re-uses discarded cardboard boxes and transforms them in to large scale mixed media pieces, encased in resin. The resulting metamorphosis creates a simultaneous sense of post-industrial urban degeneration and a tribute to the rebel subcultures that added colour to these environments.

The desire to be heard and to make a mark on a society that was no longer listening, Ashwan's art harks back to a period where the urban breakdown resulted in an explosion of colour amid growing social divides. Bastard remnants of a Reaganomic era, scribed through our cities against the will of many, only to now be commodified and celebrated by the elite. Except here, the environment itself is equally enjoyed, with rusted surfaces, oxidised copper and sense of physicality and passing time.

Void was an audio-visual installation designed by British Yemeni artist Khalid Andrew McMahon featuring appropriated music from Jamie XX.

McMahon's influences stem from the seductive but unsettling visuals of Chris Cunningham to the alienation of Edward Hopper’s paintings, among others.

Kristin Sagli is a Scandanavian animator and artists based in Barcelona. Lush was her first ever exhibition and we are delighted to have been a part of it.

Her works are detailed and rich pieces, using a variety of techniques. Her pencil drawings are alive with details and depth, while alternative versions, are digital airbrushed to create a whole new mood and feeling.

Kristin's artworks are a veritable journey down the rabbit hole into her boundless imagination.
Ru8icon1 - Departures

As our very first exhibition Ru8icon1's 'Departures' has a special place in our heart.

Moving away from Ru8icon1's more well known mural work, 'Departures' connected closely to ideas of family and the ephemeral that are often at odds with each other. Those things which feel like they are forever may only be fleeting, and in a way we are always departing and arriving at the same time.

As a further departure from his regular mural work 'Departures' featured a number of sculptural and installation pieces such as this lampshade, hand made from wooden sticks.
